The completion of The Singularity Gene – Neanderthal Comedy, initiated by Newcomb in 2016, capstones HIAI, (Human Intelligence Artificial Intelligence), which Newcomb started 2014, while serving as Strategic Counsel to the Jackson Hole Technology Partnership. Then Wyoming Governor, Matt Mead, founded the JHTP, as a privately-funded nonprofit to make frontier technologies, relevant to rural populations, globally accessible.

Before serving as Strategic Counsel, Newcomb received an LLM from NYU the year after he received a JD from the University of Wyoming College of Law. While at NYU, Newcomb was asked to co-author an annotated reference to the Wyoming Constitution, later acquired and published by Oxford University Press. After NYU, Newcomb returned to Laramie, to serve the people of Wyoming, while practicing appellate law nationally. Newcomb wrote about law and frontier technologies, for over a decade as a guest columnist for the Casper Star Tribune, then Wyoming’s only statewide newspaper. Newcomb again writes, here.
